Senior Leadership Team

 Meet the Senior Leadership Team

Mrs Fletcher - Headteacher

I have been in education for 24 years as a Teacher, Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and Headteacher for the last 10years. I love my job, serving  Naunton Park Primary School and local community. I gain great pleasure in working with our children and families, seeing them grow and flourish. I work alongside an amazing school team who enable the school to enact our vision of achieving great things, in a great way. Outside of school I am a keen gardener of indoor plants, my home looks like Aroid Attic on Boad! I love spending time with family, friends and my 2 cats, and travelling to lovely places.

Mr Steward - Deputy Headteacher and DDSL

I am proud to have joined Naunton Park as Deputy Head in 2024, having previously taught in both primary and secondary schools as a senior leader.  I am passionate about curriculum, assessment and teaching and learning and am very excited about the opportunities there are here to work with amazing staff and children.

Away from school, I enjoy both listening to and playing music.  I "play" a few different instruments, but sadly I'm not as good as I used to be at any of them anymore.  I love reading, both for pleasure and for education, and I am a dedicated follower of Aston Villa (someone has to!). Probably most importantly, I spend a much time as I can with my children and walking my dog (Laz).

Mrs Ballinger - Inclusion Lead and DDSL

I am excited to have joined Naunton Park in 2024 as the Inclusion Lead. I am an experienced primary school teacher and I have been a SENCo for a number of years. I am passionate about meeting the needs of individuals, so that all children have the opportunity to shine, reach their potential and have an enjoyable school experience. I love my job; every day is different and never boring!

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I are both fans of travelling and exploring new places. We enjoy going to music gigs or if we’re at home we like watching films with our two crazy cats. I love sport, I play tennis and I enjoy swimming, cycling and running so I’m going to attempt to combine them all with my first triathlon next year as I relish the challenge of a race or event. I am a keen reader and member of a book club and I also enjoy trying new craft activities.

Mrs Walls - KS2 Lead, DDSL, RE and Writing Subject Leader

I have been working at Naunton Park since 2001 and during this time I have taught in all year groups between years 2 to 6.I feel very fortunate to work alongside a very caring and supportive team. I am currently teaching year six and am phase leader for Key Stage 2 as well as leading RE throughout the school.

As teaching is a job that keeps you incredibly busy, I make time to prioritise exercise as I find this really helps my well-being. Outside of school, I run several times a week and can usually be seen at a Park Run on a Saturday morning where I also try to find time to volunteer on occasion. I also play netball and enjoy passing on my passion for this sport in school to the children who come to netball club and make it my aim for all these children to represent the school team. One of the highlights of the school year for me is the staff V Year six netball match which we play in the summer term.

I am married and have two children: Emily who is 17 and Joe who is 14. A lot of my weekends are spent driving them around to their various sporting matches which I love to watch.

Mr Bloys - KS1 Lead and DDSL

Hi there, my name is Mr Bloys.  I am a Year 2 Teacher, Maths and PSHE Lead and part of the Senior Leadership Team at Naunton Park.

This is my 20th year in teaching. I know, it’s truly a wonder how young I still look!  Over the years at Naunton Park, I have probably taught many of your children who, during their time with me, probably found out quite a few things about me that you don’t know - so here goes…

I am a massive fan of music (in general) and love anything with guitars and drums - the louder the better!  I’m sure I drive KS1 dotty with the raucous Linkin Park, Green Day and the almighty Blink -182 reverberating from Blue Class.  I also play guitar to relax and read anything and everything from true stories (Escape from Camp 14) to Game of Thrones and crime thrillers to sporting biographies.

My second love, after spending quality time with my wife and children, is Tottenham Hotspur .  I’m still waiting for the ‘glory, glory days’ to  return, yet I fear I may be waiting some time - we live in hope!  I also do three, 6am bootcamps a week to  keep fit and healthy!  With a 7 and 4 year old at home, you need to be on your toes for an impromptu wrestle,  especially after watching an episode of Gladiators!

Mrs Farrow - EYFS Lead, DDSL and Music Subject Leader

I love, love, love to read.  I have a library of books in shelves built by my brother.  Some books are old favourites that are re-read after a period of time and others are old friends that are so gorgeous, they just remain on the shelves.  I read paper and hardback books but also have a Kindle that is loved for popping in a bag for holidays and any time spent waiting.

When I was 15 years old (many moons ago) my family got our first TV.  I really enjoy crime dramas, cookery programmes (especially those set abroad) and home make over shows.

I enjoy spending time outside - 'there is no such thing as the wrong weather, just the wrong clothes'.  I love to garden and enjoy talking to the children in my class about plants, birds and how seasons make our world change.  I also enjoy walking whether that be in rolling hills or by the sea.  I was fortunate to grow up 10 minutes from the beach whilst growing up on the south coast.

I believe, as a result of no TV growing up, I enjoy not only reading but also sewing.  I went to night school to learn to reupholster furniture and can also turn my hand to many things that involve hand sewing, embroidery and using a sewing machine.  I still use my sewing machine that was bought for me when I was 14.  I studied Textiles at Uni - you may see the evidence of this in my very loud summer trousers and also a love of scarves (I have promised myself no more but....!!!)

Any food that involves pasta is my food heaven.  I enjoy cooking sauces from scratch, sometimes late into the evening.  Spaghetti bolognaise is my favourite.

My family are very important to me.  I have 2 nieces and 4 nephews.  I am also dog aunt to my sisters 4 fabulous pooches - 3 cocker spaniels and 1 cockerpoo.

My job - I have been an early years teacher for more than 20 years.  I love that each day is different, filled will moments of joy, new experiences, sharing new ideas and knowledge.  I still enjoy the thrill of the first time....and sharing true moments of magic with those in my class, children in the EYFS unit and the rest of the school.  As an EYFS teacher, you remember every class.  I feel privileged to share every day with all the children in my care and to enable them to have powerful learning experiences that are lead by them and enabled by me and my team.

Miss Nash - Business Manager

I have worked in Education for the past 16 years from Children’s Centre, a primary school in Gloucester and the last 6 years here at Naunton Park.  I have also been a Governor at my son’s primary school. I feel a great sense of purpose working in Education and enjoy overcoming the challenges that come with managing budgets within a local authority school to help provide the best provision for our children and future generation.  I love working with the team here, they really are fab. My role includes a lot of variety mainly finance, HR, premises and IT.

Outside of work, I am mostly doing activities with my three sons, they keep me busy and I love our time together. I enjoy travelling and exploring new places. I was born in Cyprus and spent half my childhood there and had the opportunity to work in Long Island, New York when I was 18, these experiences have given me a thirst for visiting new places whenever I can.

I enjoy trying out new activities such as learning to row at Gloucester Rowing Club last year, Rifle shooting and Netball.  I would love to have a new challenge soon, any ideas welcome lol!
